M.O.T.H.S. — Must Oppose The Harsh Sentences
We are the voices buried under numbers,
The names turned into case files and calendars.
Years stacked like bricks on broken backs,
While time forgets the people it traps.
We are the children staring through glass,
Learning absence before they learn class.
Birthdays missed, hugs denied,
Growing up with a hole they can’t hide.
We are the mothers who whisper at night,
Praying their sons still remember the light.
We are the fathers reduced to a call,
Trying to parent from behind a wall.
But like moths in the dark, we still rise,
Drawn to truth, not blinded lies.
We do not run from the flame — we expose it,
Every injustice, we name it, we show it.
Because a sentence should never erase a soul,
And punishment was never meant to swallow you whole.
We stand for mercy, for balance, for change,
For justice that heals — not justice that chains.
So let them hear us. Let them see truth.
From stolen years to stolen youth.
We are the light they tried to dim —
And we are coming back for them.
