Fame

Upset afro-american criminal in handcuffs holding prison bars, regretting past

Is the price you cost worth the entire heart ache, the hassle, the unbelievable strife? In the pursuit of you so many of us have lost themselves, lied to themselves or traded their life.

You have seemed unattainable, unreachable, like you are way out of a simple man’s reach, I desired you, craved you, went against what I believed in, and never practiced what I used to preach.

Society instilled in me that your value out weighed my morals, beliefs and at times even my soul, being one of the few chosen people to claim you definitely was my goal.

I knew once you were a part of my life, not a day would go by that people wouldn’t know my name, I lost myself a long time ago thinking I had to some how, some way have a little bit of the drug called fame.
