Letter to Momma

My Dear Mother, Letter to Momma I know for me you had so many plans, since my initial conception and eventual birth, Now I sit in a prison cell hoping and praying, that I make it back home one day before you leave this earth.

I grew up in an era with my first couple of meals coming from your body, directly from you breast. And although things at times were a struggle growing up, every Christmas you always gave me and Pooh nothing but the best.

You have been by my side thru thick and thin, even as I broke your heart when I caught my very first court case, Now these evil, heartless devils trying to put a pure woman like your self in this type of place.

Damn, when I picture you hurting at all in physical, emotional or mental pain, It crushes the core of my being and makes me feel, as if I am going crazy or at the very least temporarily insane.

I notice that you’re extra stressed out lately, every single time I decide to give you a phone call, Hey remember when I was twelve and scared, but you convinced me to play midget league foot-ball?

I wasn’t that good at the start, yet you came to every game and were my number one fan, To go to college and break the cycle was for my life your long term game plan, It broke your heart when I started being in the streets trying to hustle drugs, and thinking it was thorough to bang, I had no brothers growing up and thought, I found male camaraderie being apart of a notorious street gang.

The very first time I got in trouble with the law, and the cops got to lock me up in a cage, You were so disappointed and pissed off, I told them I rather stay in jail then go home, to deal with your disappointment and rage.

Now look at me 23 years later, and it seems like I been doing nothing but cold, hard time. For the FEDS to come arrest you, and put hand cuffs on your wrists, they are the ones who should be charged with committing a crime.

This is the absolute first time in my life for me to be in trouble, and you got your own legal situation, so for me you have no advice. Do I take a plea, or take a chance and go to trial, where for my life I will basically be rolling the dice.

I wonder how that choice I make will affect your own current situation, I would lay my life down for you, with absolutely no type of hesitation.

I have never had nobody to stick by my side and unconditionally love me like the woman who gave me life, Not even that crazy woman I married, that you told me I should have never allowed being my wife.

If something bad were to happen to you while I was in here and these people wouldn’t let me leave, I seriously doubt if I could continue living, I would not be able to breathe. Mommy, I really am afraid and don’t know what the future for either of us is going to end up bringing, If it will get you off put you whole charge all on me, I am here to, so don’t look at it as singing. Please forgive me for all the bad choices and impulsive immature mistakes, I’m going to make you proud of me one day no matter what it takes. I am going to end this letter with one single thing left that to you I need to whole- heartedly say indeed, I promise if I get another chance at life I will stop being hard headed, and your great advice I will finally heed.
